Simple Energy Reset Techniques for Busy Entrepreneurs

Have you ever sat down at your desk, ready to write that social media post or respond to a client... only to feel like your brain was full of fog and your body felt like it had just run a marathon?

You're not lazy.

You’re not unmotivated.

You’re likely just energetically drained.

As a solo spiritual entrepreneur, you’re not just managing a business, you’re holding space. Whether you’re guiding clients through healing work, showing up on social media, or brainstorming your next offer, it all requires energy. Real energy. Not just “hustle” vibes.

When I first started my business, I didn’t realize how much of my personal energy I was pouring into every part of my work. I thought burnout was only about overworking.

But sometimes, I’d only work for a couple of hours and still feel totally depleted. That’s when I realized it wasn’t the workload, it was the energy leaks.

And that’s where energy reset techniques come in. They help you stay grounded, clear, and connected; not just for your work, but for your well-being.

In this article, I’ll walk you through simple energy reset practices that I personally use (and teach) as a Reiki Master and digital strategist for wellness brands. These aren’t long rituals or complicated techniques. These are quick, effective resets you can do between client calls, after a frustrating tech glitch, or before filming a video.

Let’s dive in.

Why Energy Management Is Key for Spiritual Entrepreneurs

Running a business is already a lot. But when your business also involves healing, teaching, or holding space for others, it’s not just your time being used, it’s your energy.

You probably already know this if you've ever felt:

  • Drained after a client session, even if it went well.

  • Foggy-headed after scrolling on social media.

  • Restless when switching from one task to another (even the ones you enjoy).

When I was still seeing multiple energy healing clients a week, I noticed that the more content I created afterward; blog posts, emails, social media, the less connected it felt. I’d reread my posts and think, “This doesn’t even sound like me.”

That’s when I realized I was creating from a space of depletion, not alignment.

Your Energy is Your Message

As spiritual entrepreneurs, we don’t just create content, we transmit energy through it.

That means your energy needs to be clear, grounded, and aligned. Otherwise, your audience might feel the disconnect without even knowing why. You might be doing all the right things (the hashtags, the timing, the SEO), but if your energy is scattered, the results will be too.

That’s why energy resets aren’t just “nice to have”; they’re a form of energetic hygiene. Just like brushing your teeth or washing your face, these small practices help you stay in energetic integrity with your work.

And the best part? Most resets take less than five minutes. Let’s walk through some of my favorite go-to techniques.

5-Minute Energy Reset Techniques You Can Use Anytime

You don’t need incense, crystals, or a full moon to reset your energy. (Though I love those too!) These techniques are simple, effective, and designed to fit into your busy life, especially when you’re switching tasks, heading into a call, or just feeling off.

These are the exact resets I’ve used in between client sessions or while prepping a launch. You can do most of them in under five minutes, without needing to leave your workspace.

1. Palm Centering (Quick Reiki Boost)

This one’s a favorite of mine— especially before filming videos or writing copy.

Here’s how to do it:

  1. Rub your hands together briskly until you feel warmth or tingling.

  2. Gently place your palms over your heart or solar plexus.

  3. Close your eyes and take three slow, deep breaths.

  4. Imagine golden light flowing from your hands into your body.

As a Reiki Master, I use this as a way to reconnect with Source energy. But even if you’re not Reiki trained, your hands carry life force. Just the act of intentional touch helps bring you back to center.

Personal note: Before I hop on Zoom to record or coach, I take 30 seconds to do this. It calms my nerves, sharpens my focus, and reminds me that I’m not doing this alone.

2. Grounding Breath with Visualization

When you’re in your head all day planning, creating, managing; this simple breath practice brings you back to your body.

Try this:

  1. Sit or stand still. Close your eyes if it feels safe.

  2. Inhale through your nose. As you breathe in, visualize roots growing from your feet down into the earth.

  3. Exhale through your mouth, imagining stress, clutter, or worry flowing out and down.

  4. Repeat for 3–5 rounds.

This is perfect before switching from “business brain” to “healer mode,” or vice versa. It helps clear the mental tabs and reconnects you with the present moment.

3. Aura Sweep

This one is quick and surprisingly powerful.

To do an aura sweep:

  1. Stand or sit comfortably.

  2. Starting at the crown of your head, sweep your hands down the front, sides, and back of your body as if you’re brushing off dust.

  3. Move with intention. You can say: “I release all energy that’s not mine.”

I recommend this after scrolling on social media, after meetings, or even after being in crowded spaces (virtually or in person).

True story: After a networking Zoom call that left me feeling overstimulated, I stood up and swept my aura in silence. It took less than 90 seconds, but I felt like I had showered off the whole day.

4. Mantra Reset

Words carry energy, especially when you speak them aloud.

Try using a short mantra like:

  • “I return to my center.”

  • “I am safe, supported, and clear.”

  • “I call back my energy from all directions.”

Say it three times while placing your hands over your heart or belly. Breathe slowly and deeply. This is especially helpful if your energy feels scattered or you're feeling emotionally triggered.

You can even write your chosen mantra on a sticky note and place it near your workspace as a reminder.

5. Quick Water Ritual

Water holds memory and carries energy. A short water ritual can do wonders for clearing emotional residue.

Try this anytime you feel heavy or stuck:

  1. Go to the sink and wash your hands slowly under cool or warm water.

  2. As the water flows, say something like: “I release what no longer serves me.”

  3. Visualize any negative energy being washed away.

Alternatively, splash water on your face or sip a glass of water slowly, imagining it cleansing your entire energy field.

My ritual: I do this after writing difficult emails or doing client work that feels emotionally heavy. It clears my field so I don’t carry the energy into my next task.

Bonus: Shake It Out

Okay, I know it sounds silly, but trust me on this. Shake your hands, arms, shoulders, and legs like you're trying to dry off after a swim.

Add a little bounce to your knees. Maybe even throw in a sigh or sound.

This helps move stagnant energy out of your system fast. It’s perfect between back-to-back calls or when you’ve been sitting too long.

When to Use These Techniques Throughout Your Day

Knowing how to reset your energy is one thing; but knowing when to do it is just as important. One of the biggest mistakes I made early in my business was waiting until I felt completely burnt out before doing something about it. But by then, it took hours (sometimes days) to bounce back.

The truth is, energy resets are most effective when used proactively, not just reactively. Below are common moments in your day where a quick energy reset can make a big difference.

Before Shifting Tasks: Clearing Transition Fog

Ever notice how hard it is to go from writing a blog post to doing admin work? Or from making dinner to jumping on a client call?

That “transition fog” happens because your energy is still tied to the last thing you were doing.

Try this: Do a 60-second breath and mantra reset before switching tasks. It clears lingering energy and helps you step into the next thing with intention.

Mini moment: I keep a sticky note on my laptop that says, “Reset before you redirect.” It’s a little nudge to take a breath before jumping from one thing to the next.

After Social Media or Tech Time: Releasing Digital Clutter

Social media is full of energy; other people’s opinions, emotions, and projections. Even a few minutes of scrolling can leave you feeling wired, agitated, or drained.

Try this: Do an aura sweep or splash cool water on your hands after scrolling or posting. This helps prevent you from absorbing other people’s energy or comparing yourself unnecessarily.

Before Filming or Going Live: Grounding Your Presence

Creating content isn’t just a technical task; it’s energetic. Your audience can feel your vibe.

Try this: Do palm centering and say a mantra like, “My voice is needed. I share from a place of truth and service.” Just one minute of grounding can shift the tone of your entire video.

Before or After Client Sessions: Clearing Held Energy

Holding space for others can leave your energy field full of emotions, even if the session went well. Releasing that energy ensures you don’t carry it into the rest of your day.

Try this: Do a quick aura sweep, grounding breath, or water ritual. Set the intention to send any lingering energy back to Source or the Earth with love.

End of the Day: Preparing for Rest and Renewal

You don’t want to bring client energy, business worries, or scattered thoughts into your sleep space.

Try this: Before bed, light a candle, do a few grounding breaths, and speak a simple closing phrase like:

“I close my energy for the day. I rest with peace and clarity.”

This simple ritual helps your nervous system unwind and your subconscious reset.

How to Build an Energy Reset Ritual You’ll Stick With

We all love the idea of daily rituals, but when life gets busy (as it always does), they’re often the first thing to go. That’s why the goal here isn’t perfection; it’s consistency in a way that works for you.

Think of these energy resets like snacks for your soul: quick, nourishing, and easy to reach for anytime.

Here’s how to make them a lasting part of your daily flow:

1. Start Small - One Technique at a Time: Don’t try to do all five at once. Pick one technique that feels easy and natural, and just commit to doing it once a day. That’s it.

Example: You might start with the grounding breath before you open your laptop each morning. Just that one moment of pause can shift your energy for the whole day. Once that becomes second nature, layer in another technique when it feels right.

2. Anchor It to an Existing Habit: This is the easiest way to make a new ritual stick. Pair it with something you’re already doing; this is called habit stacking.

Examples:

  • Do a mantra reset while your tea or coffee is brewing.

  • Do an aura sweep every time you log out of a client session.

  • Wash your hands with intention right after checking emails.

You’re not adding more time to your schedule; you’re just adding more presence to what you’re already doing.

3. Make It Enjoyable, Not a Chore: If your energy practice feels boring or stiff, you won’t keep doing it. Personalize it. Make it feel sacred and soothing, not like another item on your to-do list.

Here are a few ways to make it enjoyable:

  • Light a candle or play calming music.

  • Use essential oils (lavender, eucalyptus, or frankincense are great for resets).

  • Create a small corner or altar with items that help you feel grounded.

Personal tip: I have a soft lavender mist spray I use before filming content or journaling. It instantly tells my nervous system, “Okay, it’s time to drop in.”

4. Use Visual Reminders: Place sticky notes, crystals, or visual cues around your space to remind you to pause and reset. You can also set daily phone reminders with a message like:

  • “Check in: How’s your energy?”

  • “Time for a mini reset.”

Visual and digital reminders are helpful, especially when you’re in go-go-go mode and forget to pause.

5. Track Your Energy Wins: Pay attention to how you feel after these tiny resets. Maybe you’re more focused, lighter, or less reactive. Write it down.
Even jotting a quick note like, “Felt clearer after grounding breath,” reinforces the habit and shows your brain that it works.
You don’t need a fancy journal, just a post-it, digital note, or voice memo will do. Over time, this builds self-trust and strengthens your energetic awareness.

Remember: It’s Not About Doing More; It’s About Feeling More Like You

These energy resets aren’t meant to add pressure, they’re here to help you reconnect with your natural power.

When your energy is clear, your content flows easier. Your client sessions feel more aligned. You show up on camera with more confidence. And perhaps most importantly, you feel better in your body and mind.

Your Energy Is Your Greatest Business Asset

In a world that’s constantly telling you to do more, post more, sell more; it’s easy to forget that your being matters more than your doing.

As a spiritual entrepreneur, your presence is part of your product. Your energy isn’t just what fuels your business; it’s what attracts clients, creates trust, and keeps you in alignment with your purpose.

When your energy is off, it shows up everywhere:

  • Your content feels forced.

  • Your ideas feel fuzzy.

  • Your motivation disappears.

But when your energy is aligned; even just a little, it’s like flipping a light switch. Everything feels more doable, more grounded, more “you.” I remember one particular morning when everything felt off. I had a blog to finish, a client call in the afternoon, and I was already spiraling by 9 a.m.

Instead of pushing through, I paused. I did a two-minute grounding breath with my hands over my heart, said a short mantra, and took a quick walk around the block. That reset shifted everything. The blog flowed. The client session felt rich. All because I gave myself permission to pause.

You don’t need to wait for burnout to reset your energy. You can do it in small, simple ways; every single day.

Choose One Technique to Try Today

You don’t have to overhaul your routine. Just pick one energy reset from this list and try it right now; even if it’s just for 30 seconds.

Here’s a gentle starting point:

  • Take a deep breath.

  • Place your hands over your heart.

  • And repeat after me: “I return to my center. I reclaim my peace.”

That’s it. You’ve already begun.

Final Note

Being a soul-led entrepreneur doesn’t mean you have to run on empty. You’re allowed to pause. You’re allowed to reset. And you’re allowed to do it in a way that nourishes you first.

Your energy leads the way.

Let it be your anchor, not your afterthought.
